Planned Giving: A planned gift to the Garden may enable you to make a more significant gift than you thought possible while at the same time allowing you to achieve your financial, philanthropic, and estate planning goals. To put the Garden in your will: Bequests should be made to the “University of California, Berkeley Foundation” in support of the UC Botanical Garden at Berkeley.
Tribute and Memorial Gifts: A gift to the Garden in honor or memory of a loved one is a wonderful tribute for any occasion. There are a few locations available for benches ($15,000 to $20,000) and picnic tables ($20,000 to $25,000). The Garden plans to create a Tribute Plaza in 2010 with engraved bricks available for $500 and more. The Garden also welcomes contributions in lesser amounts. All gifts will be recognized with an acknowledgement letter to the recipient and are fully tax deductible.
