Lapageria rosea 'Collinge'

'Collinge' UCBG 52.0791, the most sought after of the picotees. It has a pure white color as background, and as if hand painted, the edges of the petals have the heavy marbling or splashes of crimson on the edges combined with some stippling of red throughout. Flowers are 7.5 cm long with a flare of 5 cm. As the pod parent, it produces large seed pods with hundreds of seeds. Reffered to by many as 'Dr. Bullock' or Mejilla Roja'. Collinge was the nickname for Dr. Bullock red-cheeks.
