Film Screening: Love at First Sight, America’s Affair with the Rose

Tuesday, February 12, 2008 6pm-7:30pm

Experience the pressured lives of the people who grow roses professionally for commercial sale and for competition in the lively film Love at First Sight, America’s Affair with the Rose made by local documentary filmmakers in collaboration with the All-American Rose Selections. A screening of the film will be followed by conversation with the film makers, rosarians, and the Botanical Garden’s very own Peter Klement, horticulturist of the Garden of Old Roses and South American collections. Sip on rose tea and sample other edible rose delights while engaging in post-film discussion.
