Join us for a pre-Valentine’s day cocktail hour in the Julia Morgan Hall as we celebrate symbiosis in the plant world, with tonight’s star: lichen. UC Berkeley Lichenologist Dr. Klara Scharnagl will share the fascinating relationship between algae and fungi that creates this single organism, a beautiful symbiotic pairing. We’ll sip botanical cocktails/mocktails, nibble fungi (mushroom) appetizers and floral sweet treats, enjoy making a craft using lichen at this fun hands-on program. Come early to explore the Garden and bring a friend!
Program fee: $45 Adult/$35 UCBG Member
Garden Admission included. Must be 21+.
