Digital Card FAQs
A digital membership card is not only environmentally friendly, but going digital means you never have to worry about forgetting your Garden membership card!
It’s easy to download and save to your smartphone. Available for new and renewing memberships.
After joining or renewing your Garden membership, you will receive an email within a week with a link to download your card.
Renewals and digital cards
Once the system has processed your order you will receive two emails:
1. One will contain the link to download your membership card.
2. The second will contain your digital guest passes to share with friends and family.
- Your digital membership card was sent to the email address you provided, along with instructions on how to download it onto your phone. The email subject line will be: “Your New Membership Card- Jane Doe”
The email will be sent from membership@cuseum.com
- Your digital guest passes will be sent to your email separately for you to share with those you choose to invite.The email subject line will be: “Your membership Guest Passes have arrived”
The email will be sent from membership@cuseum.com. - If you still have trouble, please call or email Membership at (510) 643-1924 or gardenmembership@berkeley.edu for assistance Monday-Friday.
- Open the email you received on your iPhone (the email has to be accessed directly from your iPhone or it won’t work).
- Swipe down until you see the “Download” button
- Tap the “Download” button. This will take you to a new page.
- Swipe down on that new page until you see a button that says “Add to Wallet”
- Tap on the “Add to Apple Wallet” button
- Your digital card will appear. Please tap on the button that says “Add”.
- Your digital card should now be installed on your iPhone.
Google Wallet:
- Make sure Google Wallet is installed
- Tap on the “Download” button.
- Tap on the “Save to Google Wallet” button
- A preview will appear. Click on the “Add” button
Wallet Union:
- Make sure Wallet Union is installed.
- Open the email directly from your phone.
- Tap on the “Download” button.
- Tap on the “Add to Wallet Union” option
- A preview of your card will be displayed. Click on the Save button at the bottom right side of the screen
- The card will be saved and you will be able to access it from the Wallet app at any moment.
*Wallet Passes are no longer supported by Cuseum
How to share your card:
iPhone to iPhone:
- Search for a three-dot icon “…” at the top right of your card.
- Once you tap on the icon, search for an icon that looks like an arrow over a square on the top right of your screen.
Android to Android:
Google Wallet: Simply forward the email you received and ask them to click on “Download Membership Card > Add to Google Wallet” the same way you did (Google does not have a sharing option).
Wallet Union (NEW):
- Open the app and tap on the digital card you want to share (it will open the digital card in full screen mode if you have multiple cards from the same vendor)
- Tap the three dots icon at the top right side of the screen
- Tap on “SHARE CARD”
- Note: Android provides multiple sharing options. We recommend via email, or Bluetooth.
Wallet Passes (no longer supported):
iPhone to Android:
- Open the digital card on your iPhone (the installed card).
- Go to the back of the card (to access the back of the card, tap on the button that looks like three dots inside of a circle)
- Then, Tap on the sharing button (it looks like a square with an arrow pointing up)
- Once you tap this button, you will see the sharing options. We strongly suggest you tap on “Email”, so you can share the digital card to the Android phone via email.
Android to iPhone:

- Open the Wallet Union app
- Tap on your digital card
- Tap on the three dots icon at the top right side of the screen
- Tap on “SHARE CARD”
- We recommend sharing via email, or Bluetooth

- iOS: If you have an iPhone, the card will automatically download to Apple Wallet. Check the app for your new card (scroll through any cards that are already there–it may be hiding).
- Android: If you have an Android, you’ll need to download Google Wallet or Wallet Union from the Play Store prior to downloading the card.
Simply show your digital membership card found in the digital wallet app on your smartphone at participating reciprocal organizations to receive the discount benefit. We recommend contacting the reciprocal organization to confirm their participation, policies, and hours.
