Self-Guided Group Visits - UC Botanical Garden at Berkeley

The UC Botanical Garden welcomes self-guided group visits for adult groups.

If you would like to schedule a self-guided group visit, please email gardentours@berkeley.edu at least two weeks in advance of your visit so that we can best serve your group. Self-guided groups pay regular admission to the Garden, we do not offer a group discount.

If cost is a barrier for your group, please contact gardentours@berkeley.edu. We do consider requests for free or reduced-rate admission on a case-by case basis.

Youth groups should schedule a docent-led tour on our K-12 Docent-Led Tour page. If you would like to visit the Garden as part of a College or University course, please request a visit on our College/University Educational Use page.

What To Expect

A brief, 5-10 minute, staff-led introduction to the Garden is required for self-guided groups. Please plan enough time for this as part of your visit.

We strongly recommend scheduling your group visit for a weekday, as parking can be limited on weekends due to our small lot.

Accessibility Information

The Garden is located in a canyon with a variety of elevations and terrain, including paved paths and unpaved gravel paths.
