This special tour begins in San Sebastian, with excursions to St. Jean de Luz and Bilbao, home of the stunning Guggenheim Museum. We will visit charming medieval villages, including Santillana del Mar, and meander through La Rioja, Spain’s premier wine region, and Valladolid to Madrid. Along the way we will enjoy regional cuisine and the best of Spanish hospitality in private homes and gardens.

Tour Escort: Katherine Greenberg is a garden designer and author with a special interest in California native plants. She studied at the University of California and the University of Madrid. Currently a UC Botanical Garden Advisory Board Member, Katherine is a past president of the Mediterranean Garden Society, Pacific Horticulture Society, and Friends of the Regional Parks Botanic Garden. Katherine has led tours to Morocco, Spain, Portugal, and Cuba to support the UC Botanical Garden.
